In an encounter, in the Sugoo Hendhama area of Kashmir’s Shopian District the security forces eliminated three terrorists. This was the third major encounter in the district in less than a week. So far, the security forces have eliminated 18 terrorists in the month of June.

Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar (IPS) has confirmed the case. He said that three terrorists have been killed in the operation. However, their identities are yet to be ascertained.

It is pertinent that a total of 12 terrorists have been killed in the Shopian District since June 7, which includes 2 commanders. While the number of terrorists killed since January is 104, of which 53 have been killed since March.

Meanwhile mobile internet has been suspended in the Shopian district for precautionary measures.
