On Wednesday, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal, has said that all the major hospitals nursing homes and clinics will have to display the availability of COVID 19 and non covid beds on LED boards in large letters outside their establishment.

Along with the beds available the establishment will also have to show the charges that need to be incurred for the rooms bits and details of contact person for admission. Disturb came in order to increase transparency and to facilitate the public admist world wide pandemic.

The Health Department is also advised to ensure the credibility of the data. The data available on the screen has to be the concerned with the one on the government app/portal.

Further, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority may conduct surprise checks in order to ensure that the data being displayed is correct and no genuine patient is denied or overcharged. An action taken report may be sent urgently.
