At least 3 were killed and eight other went missing following a cloud burst in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, on Monday.

As per reports, three were found dead in Madkot and the eight others went missing from a neighboring village. The cloudburst has caused damage to many houses in the two villages of Pithoragarh.

The rescue teams reached the two villages and launched a rescue operation. The search for the missing persons is underway.

According to the Met department, heavy rain is likely to occur for the next two days.
