Karnataka government on Sunday imposed a complete lockdown till Monday morning. Various places in Karnataka wore a deserted look on Sunday. This state decided to impose a complete lockdown in the state to contain the virus and said that all shops will remain closed till 7:00 a.m. on May 25. 

Places including Shivajinagar, Hubli, Gadag, Shimoga and Kalaburagi witnessed fewer crowds on Sunday. Reports said all commercial establishments, including Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus terminal, remained closed.

The people showed great support for this step taken by the state government and remained at their respective home. Other than a few people on streets everyone else remained at their home.

The people said that this was a great move by the State Government and is in public interest. Dakshina Kannada also witnessed complete lockdown in the district. Masjid's remained closed and people celebrated Eid in their homes.
