9 Al-Qaeda Terrorist Arrested In Kerala and Bengal by NIA
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has claimed to have exposed the large network of Al Qaeda. The NIA has conducted raids in Kerala and West Bengal over the Al Qaeda module. During this raid of NIA, 9 suspicious people have been arrested for allegedly planning a terror strike in various parts of the country at the behest of handlers from Pakistan.
It is being told that raids have been conducted in completely new cases regarding Al-Qaeda. The raids have been conducted in Kerala’s Ernakulam and Murshidabad in West Bengal. NIA has recovered country-made pistols, a rudimentary body armor, literature on homemade IEDs, and incriminating material.
NIA has arrested 3 suspected terrorists from Ernakulam in Kerala and 6 from Murshidabad in Bengal during the raids. It is being told that many security establishments were on their target. Most of the people arrested are being told around 20 years of age. All are laborers. These were being monitored after getting input about the terrorist plot.
The raids were conducted after the NIA came to know of an interstate module of al-Qaeda members at various places in the country including West Bengal and Kerala. This group was planning to target important establishments of the country. The NIA has registered a case regarding this and further investigation is on.
