The COVID count in India has reached 85,91,730 with 38,073 infections being reported in the last 24 hours. While the death toll in the country climbed to 1,27,059 with 448 new fatalities. As per the data provided by the Union Health Ministry 79,59,406 people have recuperated from the disease taking the national recovery rate to 92.64 percent, while the fatality rate because of coronavirus stands at 1.48 percent. There are now only 5,05,265 active cases of COVID infection in the country. This is the 12th consecutive day when the active cases have remained below the 6 lakh mark.
