As per the Government of India's (GOI) Ease of Living Reforms, the Himachal government will make various citizen-related services time-bound, with a more transparent systems and procedures. This is a new initiative taken by the newly formed Sukhu-led Congress government in order to make people's lives easier and government processes more efficient.  It will simplify the registration process for necessary amenities (ration card, driver's license, electricity, water connection, and so on) and other welfare schemes. The initiative may provide some relief to locals by reducing corruption and making government institutions more trustworthy in the eyes of the general public.
