Dagshai Public School celebrates International Yoga Day virtually
21 st June marked as International Yoga Day is a gift by India to the entire world. The introduction of this day has made the world to understand the importance of yoga to maintain good health. Since ancient times our nation is well known for its practice by rishis. Running under the aegis of the Atam Science Trust, Dagshai Public always caters to the mental and physical growth of its students through every possible way.
Due to the closure of the school because of the lockdown throughout the country, no option was left with the school then to motivate its students for the online Yoga Competition. Mrs. Jaspal Kaur, the Administrative Officer of the school brought this concept and made it possible by motivating teachers, parents, and students for their active participation. This competition received an overwhelming response from the students. Around 130 entries were received in the form of videos performing yoga in different forms in a very professional way along with their pictures depicting different poses of yoga asanas. Mrs. Jaspal Kaur sent a message to the parents and students regarding the importance of the day. She appreciated the students for their active participation.
Executive Director S. Amarjit Singh, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, and members of the management committee highly appreciated the efforts of the Executive Officer, Teachers, Parents, and students for making the celebration a successful attempt even in the crucial time of COVID-19. Dr. Jaspal Singh urged the students and others to make yoga practice as a routine of their life as it develops immunity against many physical and medical ailments even it can help to fight against corona.
