Efforts of teaching fraternity lauded

VC hold meeting with UHF teachers’ association to discuss grievances
Dr Parvinder Kaushal, Vice-Chancellor of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni today held a meeting with the UHF Teachers’ Association (UHFTA). The objective of the meeting was to discuss the ways to improve the teaching and learning in the university and address the grievances of the faculty.
Speaking at the occasion Dr Kaushal congratulated the teachers of the university for their efforts in the progress of the farming community and the university. He said their hard work was evident from the 12th rank achieved by the university in the national ranking of the agricultural universities.
The association was represented by its President Dr KD Sharma, Vice-President Dr Ramesh Bhardwaj, Counsellor Dr Amit Vikram, Treasurer Dr Naveen Chand Sharma and Secretary Dr Subhash Sharma. The association congratulated Dr Kaushal on his appointment as Vice-Chancellor of the university. During the meeting, the association raised issues regarding teaching and research and the grievances of the teaching fraternity of the university. The association members also shared several suggestions on the occasion.
Dr Kaushal thanked the association for their initiative and suggestions for improving the teaching and learning atmosphere of the university. He said that the university will address the issues raised by them so that the university can progress in academic, research and extension activities. Dr Kaushal sought the support of the association in taking the university to greater heights and competing with global universities.
