Weeks after the mega-explosion left the city in shatters, another massive fire erupted at the Beirut sea port. As per reports, the blaze occurred at a warehouse where oil and tyres were placed, though the source of fire is yet to be confirmed. The fire erupted in the duty free zone of the port, sending a huge column of smoke above the city. Several firefighting brigades are trying to contain the fire. Helicopters have also been sent to help bring the fire under control.
Five Rafale fighter jets were formally inducted into the Air Force at the Ambala airbase today amid the ongoing deadlock at the border in India and China. Now it's flypast's turn. The program was attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and French Defense Minister Florence Perley, along with Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Air Staff RKS Bhadoria. The aircraft will be duly inducted into the 17th Squadron of the Air Force. The program will include the ceremonial unveiling of the Rafale Aircraft, a traditional Sarva Dharma Pooja, air display by Rafale and Tejas aircraft as well as by the Sarang aerobatic team.
Where Russia reported positive results of the 2nd phase trials for vaccine Sputnik-V on healthy adults, the vaccine is ready for its 3rd phase trials. Sputnik-V is developed by Gamaleya Research Institute in Russia, approved by Ministry of Health of the Russian federation. India showed interest in conducting 3rd phase trials in the country. Reportedly, vaccine will be available in India from the month of september that gives hopes to the Covid-19 patients. 20 countries, including India are interested in conducting the trials. Results will be reported online in the month of October or November.
Indian foreign minister to attend a lunch meeting with China, Russia counterparts in Moscow Tensions continue between India and China on the Ladakh border, In spite of all the efforts being made to resolve the border dispute, China's nefarious activities are making it wasteful. At the same time, in the midst of border tension, India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi are going to have a meeting in Moscow. The boundary dispute can be discussed in this lunch meeting. Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will also attend this meeting. It is believed that Russia can help ease border tensions. Significantly, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar arrived in Moscow on Tuesday, amid tensions going on at the border between India and China. He will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) foreign ministers' meeting here during his four-day visit. His visit comes just a few days after Defense Minister Rajnath Singh traveled to Russia's capital. Singh was here to attend the eight-member SCO defense ministers meeting. Jaishankar will attend the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) meeting during his stay in Moscow. This will be the third meeting of the Council in which India will join as a full member.

Lancet study reported a research online which says that the two shot vaccine developed in Russia had a great immune response. The Russian vaccine for coronavirus was developed by Gamaleya Research Institute. The research showed that the vaccine was safe and does not cause serious adverse effects in healthy adult volunteers. “We are in close dialogue, agreements with certain companies in India. We appreciate that they didn’t ‘attack’ the vaccine but carefully sought to understand its mechanism of action. We are very grateful to India for the openness shown,” -Kirill Dmitriev (CEO of Russian Direct Investment Fund ) The vaccine consists of two components, a recombinant adenovirus type 26 (rAd26) vector and a recombinant adenovirus type 5 (rAd5) vector, both carrying the gene for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) spike glycoprotein (rAd26-S and rAd5-S). Russian scientists have begun with the Phase-3 trials of the vaccine in 40,000 volunteers, results are likely to be known publicly by the month of November.

आज अमृता प्रीतम के 101 वें जन्म दिवस पर महान कवियित्री अमृता प्रीतम के साहित्य में योगदान की एवं उनकी जीवनी की बात करते हैं। अमृता का साहित्यिक सफर जितनी बुलंदियों में रहा उनकी नीजि ज़िन्दगी भी उतनी ही दिलचस्प रही। अमृता बन पाना भी कहाँ आसान है , किसी को पा लेने की चाहत भी नहीं और फिर भी मोहब्बत की बे-इन्तेहाई, यक़ीनन अमृता साधारन तो नहीं थी। कुछ तो था जो उसे सब से अलग बनाता था। मोहब्बत लिखती तो सातों आसमान छू लेती और दर्द लिखती तो समुन्दर की गहराई नाप लेती। अमृता जो थी वो तो बस अमृता ही थी। -जहाँ भी आज़ाद रूह की झलक पड़े, समझ लेना वही मेरा घर है। -अमृता प्रीतम यदि स्वतंत्र सोच का कोई चेहरा होता तो वह अमृता का ही होता। ख्यालों की ऐसी उड़ान आपने शायद ही कहीं देखी होगी। अमृता का जन्म 31 अगस्त 1919 में पंजाब के गुजरांवाला ( पकिस्तान ) में हुआ। अमृता पंजाबी और हिंदी दोनों ही भाषाओँ में लिखा करती थी , व उनका पहला संकलन महज़ 16 साल की उम्र में 'अज्ज आखां वारिस शाह नू' ,प्रकाशित हुआ। - उन्होंने भारत-पकिस्तान के विभाजन पर लिखा - उठ धर्मांदा दे दरदिया ,उठ तक्क अपना पंजाब आज बेले लाशां विछियां ,ते लहू दी भरी चेनाब किसे ने पंजां पानियाँ विच दित्ती ज़हर रला ते उना पानियाँ धरत नू दित्ता पानी ला 1947 में अमृता ने विभाजन को बहुत ही क़रीब से देखा जिसके चलते अमृता ने अपनी कई रचनाओं में वही दर्द उकेरा। जल्द ही प्रोग्रेसिव राइटर्स मोमेंट का हिस्सा बनी अमृता को साहित्य जगत में पहचाना जाने लगा। साथ ही पंजाब रत्न अवार्ड पाने वाली वे पहली शख्सियत थी और साहित्य अकादमी अवार्ड से नवाज़ी जाने वाली पहली महिला भी थी। उनके द्वारा रचित उपन्यास पिंजर एवं रसीदी टिकट की भी एक अलग पहचान है। उनके बारे में अद्भुत बात तो यह है किउन्हें जितना प्रेम हिन्दुस्तान में मिला उतनी ही चाहत से उन्हें पकिस्तान में भी पढ़ा जाता है। इसका कारण यह भी है कि वे दोनों देशों के मुद्दे को ले कर हमेशा निष्पक्ष रहीं। कुल जीवन-काल में उन्होंने तक़रीबन 100 किताबें लिखी जिनका बाद में कई भाषाओं में अनुवाद हुआ, व अमृता को देश भर में ही नहीं , दुनिया भर में पढ़ा गया। अमृता विभाजन से पहले गुजरांवाला में लाहौर रेडियो स्टेशन में काम किया करती थी , विभाजन के समय हिन्दुस्तान आने के बाद अमृता ने आल इंडिया रेडियो में काम किया। अमृता की शादी 16 साल की उम्र में ही प्रीतम से हुई जो कुछ समय बाद ही टूट गई। प्रीतम उनकी ज़िन्दगी का बड़ा सच था जिसे अमृता सिंह ने अमृता प्रीतम बन कर स्वीकार किया और उम्र भर अपने साथ ही रखा। प्रीतम के बाद अमृता का नाम साहिर के साथ जोड़ा जाने लगा। साहिर लुधयानवी और अमृता की मुलाक़ात एक कवि सम्मेलन के दौरान हुई व कहा जाता है दोनों का प्रेम किसी फ़िल्मी कहानी की तरह परवान भी चढ़ा। इस रिश्ते को कोई नाम न देने के बाद दोनों ने एक दूसरे से मुँह फेर लिया परन्तु अमृता सदैव साहिर का नाम दोहराती रहीं। कहा जाता है, साहिर लाहौर में उनके घर आया करते थे। कुछ नहीं कहते. बस एक के बाद एक सिगरेट पिया करते थे। उनके जाने के बाद अमृता उनकी सिगरेट की बटों को उनके होंठों के निशान के हिसाब से दोबारा पिया करती थीं। इस तरह उन्हें भी सिगरेट पीने की लत लग गई। अमृता साहिर से बेहद प्यार करती थीं, मगर वो साथ न हो सके। अमृता कहती थी- "मुझे नहीं मालूम कि साहिर के लफ्जों की जादूगरी थी या कि उनकी खामोश नज़र का कमाल था लेकिन कुछ तो था जिसने मुझे अपनी तरफ़ खींच लिया। आज जब उस रात को मुड़कर देखती हूं तो ऐसा समझ आता है कि तक़दीर ने मेरे दिल में इश्क़ का बीज डाला जिसे बारिश की फुहारों ने बढ़ा दिया।" अमृता की मोहब्बत के क़िस्सों में एक नाम और शुमार है , "इमरोज़" जो निष्छल प्रेम की मिसाल थे। इमरोज़ से अमृता की पहली मुलाक़ात में ही इमरोज़ ने उन्हें अपना दिल दिया , इमरोज़ बिलकुल ख्वाबों के किसी राजकुमार जैसे थे जैसा अमृता या कोई भी लड़की चाहती हो मगर अमृता साहिर को मन में बसा चुकी थी। अमृता इमरोज़ के साथ एक छत के नीचे रहने लगी , कहा जाता है अमृता ने ही लिव इन रिलेशनशिप की शुरुआत की जिसके चलते वे हँसी का पात्र भी बनी मगर अमृता को लोगों की परवाह न थी। इमरोज़ और साहिर से अपने रिश्ते पर अमृता ने कहा - साहिर मेरा आसमान हैं और, इमरोज़ मेरे घर की छत। साहिर और अमृता के रिश्ते पर पूछे जाने वाले एक सवाल पर इमरोज़ ने कहा "मेरा और अमृता का रिश्ता स्वतंत्र है , न वो मुझे कभी बांधती हैं न ही मैं उन्हें ,‘एक बार अमृता ने मुझसे कहा था कि अगर वह साहिर को पा लेतीं, तो मैं उसको नहीं मिलता। तो मैंने उसको जवाब दिया था कि तुम तो मुझे जरूर मिलती चाहे मुझे तुम्हें साहिर के घर से निकाल के लाना पड़ता. जब हम किसी को प्यार करते हैं तो रास्ते की मुश्किल को नहीं गिनते. मुझे मालूम था कि अमृता साहिर को कितना चाहती थीं।लेकिन मुझे यह भी बखूबी मालूम था कि मैं अमृता को कितना चाहता था।" इमरोज़ के साथ स्कूटर पर जाते-जाते इमरोज़ की पीठ पर उँगलियों से अमृता अक्सर साहिर का नाम लिख दिया करती थी। लगभग 40 सालों तक अमृता की देर रात बैठने की आदत को देख कर इमरोज़ हर रात उनके लिए आधी रात में उठ कर चाय बनाया करते थे। इमरोज़ और अमृता ने एक दूसरे से कभी ये नहीं कहा की वो एक दूसरे से पेम करते हैं मगर कभी न किये गए वादों को निभाते हुए वे ता-उम्र साथ रहे। अमृता ने एक बार इमरोज़ से कहा "सारी दुनिया घूम आओ , फिर भी अगर तुम मुझे चुनोगे तो मान लुंगी तुम्हे " इस पर इमरोज़ ने कमरे का एक चक्कर लगाया और कहा "तुम्हारे आस पास ही मेरी दुनिया है , लो घूम आया दुनिया , मुझे अब भी तुमसे प्रेम है " अमृता ने अपनी आखिरी कविता इमरोज़ के नाम लिखी और कहा - " मैं तुझे फिर मिलूंगी कहाँ, कैसे, पता नहीं शायद तेरी कल्पनाओं की प्रेरणा बन तेरे कैनवास पर उतरूंगी या तेरे कैनवास पर एक रहस्यमई लकीर बन खामोश तुझे देखती रहूंगी मैं तुझे फिर मिलूंगी। इमरोज़ के नाम। " इमरोज़ ने अमृता के निधन के बाद कहा - "उसने जिस्म छोड़ा है, साथ नही। वो अब भी मिलती है, कभी तारों की छांव में, कभी बादलों की छांव में, कभी किरणों की रोशनी में कभी ख़्यालों के उजाले में हम उसी तरह मिलकर चलते हैं चुपचाप, हमें चलते हुए देखकर फूल हमें बुला लेते हैं, हम फूलों के घेरे में बैठकर एक-दूसरे को अपना अपना कलाम सुनाते हैं उसने जिस्म छोड़ा है साथ नहीं…"
मंगलवार शाम लेबनान की राजधानी बेरूत में 2,750 टन अमोनियम नाइट्रेट में हुए बड़े विस्फोट के बाद बेरुत बंदरगाह का एक बड़ा हिस्सा और कई इमारतें क्षतिग्रस्त हो गईं। बंदरगाह पूरी तरह से खंडहर में तब्दील हो गया। हर तरफ लाशें और तबाही का खौफनाक मंजर नजर आया। पूरा बेरूत शहर धुएं से भर गया व गाड़ियों के शीशे और इमारतों की खिड़कियां चकनाचूर हो गईं। इस हादसे में करीबन 78 लोगों ने अपनी जान गावं दी है और 4000 से ज्यादा लोग घायल हैं। इस विस्फोट की तीव्रता इतनी तेज़ थी मनो कोई परमाणु बम धमाका हुआ हो। विस्फोट की वजह से जमीन भी कंपकंपा गई और ऐसे लगा भीषण भूकंप आया हो। 240 किलोमीटर तक इसकी धमक महसूस की गई। इस विस्फोट की तस्वीरें दिल दहला देने वाली हैं। धमाके से पहले गुलाबी धुएं का ऊंचा सा गुबार पूरे आसमान में फैल गया और फिर जोरदार धमाके के साथ तबाही मच गई। रास्ते में जो आया, विस्फोट ने उसे अपनी जद में ले लिया। रिपोर्ट्स के अनुसार कम से कम 10 किमी के दायरे में घरों को भारी नुकसान पहुंचा है। धमाके से चारो तरफ तबाही का मंज़र बन गया। इस भयानक घटना होने पर लेबनान के राष्ट्रपति माइकल आउन ने सुप्रीम डिफेंस काउंसिल की मीटिंग बुलाई। देश के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री हमाद हसन ने बताया कि मरने वालों की तादाद काफी बढ़ सकती है। उन्होंने बताया है कि बेरूत शहर में भारी नुकसान भी हुआ है। धमाके की वजह से बेरूत के अस्पताल भर गए। हालत यह हो गई कि कई घायलों का कॉरिडोर के अंदर इलाज किया गया। लेबनान के रेडक्रॉस ने लोगों से अपील की है कि वे तभी अस्पताल जाएं जब बहुत जरूरी हो। PM मोदी ने जताया शोक बुधवार को प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने इस हादसे पर शोक जताते हुए जान गंवाने वाले लोगों के परिवार के प्रति गहरी संवेदनाएं व्यक्त की है। पीएमओ ने ट्वीट करते हुए लिखा "बेरुत शहर में बड़े विस्फोट से हुए जीवन और संपत्ति के नुकसान से हैरान और सदमे में हूँ. हमारे विचार और प्रार्थनाएं शोक संतप्त परिवारों और घायलों के साथ हैं।"
Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte in a televised address said that it was vital for everyone co-operate and follow home Quarantine measures as the authorities are trying to slow down the spread of contagion and spare the the country's health system from being overwhelmed. He warned the violators of coronavirus long-term measures that they could be shot for causing trouble. he also said that the abuse of medical workers is a serious crime and would not be tolerated. His comments came after the media reported protest in a poor area of Manila where several residents were arrested, who were protesting about sufficient Government food aid. They also follow outrage among the medical community about social stigma and instances of hospital workers suffering physical abuse and discrimination which he said must be stopped. The activists also derided him for his fiery verbosity and accused him for inviting violence, as shown in his fight against drugs, during which the police and mystery gunmen killed thousands of people accused of selling and using drugs. Whereas the police denied these accusitions and said their actions during anti drug campaign have been lawful. Duterte's Office called his remarks as an exaggeration to underline his point. The National Police Cheif said that the police understands Duterte was only expressing his seriousness over public order and no one would really be shot. The Philippines has recorded around 96 deaths from coronavirus and a total of 2311 confirmed cases, all but 3 in the past weeks, with infections now being reported in hundred everyday. .”It is getting worse. So once again I’m telling you the seriousness of the problem and that you must listen,” Duterte said late on Wednesday. “My orders to the police and military… if there is trouble and there’s an occasion that they fight back and your lives are in danger, shoot them dead.”
On saturday 15 feburary, China's National Health Commission announced that its coronavirus death toll has risen to over 1523 and 66,000 cases have been confirmed. As per reports from the Health Commision, 2,641 new cases were reported till friday while 1,373 patients were discharged from the hospital after treatment. On friday, Hubei faced a death toll of 139 from coronavirus. It was in Hubei, last year in december, that China faced the very first case of corona virus. Since then, it has rapidly spread to other parts of the world. The National Health Commision has confirmed the registration of 66,492 cases till 12am on 14th feburary. At the same time 1523 people lost their lives in the provincial areas. Where 8096 paitents were discharged from the hospital. Notably 56,873 cases have been confirmed, 8969 suspected cases have been reported while 169,039 people have been kept under observation.
For the first time in history of Oscar, a non-English film Parasite won the best film award.The movie's win made history in both Hollywood and South Korean film industries. It is the first non-English-language film to win in 92 year history of the Academy Awards and the first South Korean movie to ever win an Oscar. The best picture award has never gone to a film which has, in Bong's words, one inch subtitles running at the bottom of the screen. This South Korean film won 4 Oscars. After receiving the honor, the director of the film, Bong Joon Ho said "I am ready to drink tonight, until next morning." The two families living in South Korea who have been exposed to different economic conditions are depicted through dark humor in Parasite. Director Bong Joon Ho's "Parasite" won the Oscar for best picture and three other awards. Joaquin Phoenix won best actor for his performance in "Joker". It was his first Oscar. Renee Zellweger won best actress for playing a broken Judy Garland in "Judy". Brad Pitt won best supporting actor for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. पाकिस्तान में लोगों को महंगाई की वजह से काफी मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। नवंबर के पहले सप्ताह में टमाटर की कीमत 117 रुपए प्रति किलो थी। बताया जा रहा है कि कोई भी व्यापारी तय दाम में टमाटर नहीं बेच रहा है। शुक्रवार को कराची में टमाटर की कीमत 400 रुपए तक पहुंच गई है।
इस्लामाबाद : पाकिस्तान पर मौसमी बेरुखी की तगड़ी मार पड़ी है। देश के सिंध प्रांत के ग्रामीण इलाकों में भारी बारिश के बाद बिजली गिरने की घटनाओं में 20 लोगों की मौत हो गई है जबकि 30 लोग घायल हो गए है। यही नहीं इस आसमानी आफत की चपेट में आने से सैकड़ों पशुओं की भी मौत हो गई है।
ब्रासीलिया : ब्राजील के राष्ट्रपति जायर बोलसोनारो ने अगले साल भारत के गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि शामिल होने का प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के निमंत्रण को स्वीकार कर लिया। पीएम मोदी इस वक्त 11 वें ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन के लिए ब्राजील में है। इस सम्मेलन के इतर उनकी ब्राजील के राष्ट्रपति से मुलाकात हुई। इस दौरान दोनों नेताओं के बीच द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को मजबूत करने को लेकर बातचीत हुई।
बैंकॉक : प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी सोमवार को बैंकॉक में आसियान और क्षेत्रीय व्यापक आर्थिक भागीदारी (RCEP) के सम्मेलन में भाग लेंगे। वह आसियान बैठक को संबोधित करेंगे। इसके अलावा आसियान सदस्य देशों के राष्ट्रप्रमुखों से भी मुलाकात करेंगे और थाईलैंड के पीएम के रात्रिभोज में भी शामिल होंगे। अपनी थाईलैंड यात्रा के तीसरे दिन क्षेत्रीय व्यापक आर्थिक भागीदारी (RCEP) शिखर सम्मेलन में हिस्सा लेंगे, जहां इसके सदस्य देशों के नेता वार्ता की स्थिति की समीक्षा करेंगे जो फिलहाल बैंकॉक में चल रही है।
पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान ने करतारपुर कॉरिडोर आने वाले भारतीय श्रद्धालुओं को बड़ी राहत दी है। अब उन्हें पासपोर्ट की जरूरत नहीं होगी, बस उनके पास एक वैध आईडी कार्ड होना चाहिए। इमरान खान ने कहा कि भारतीय श्रद्धालुओं को 10 दिन पहले रजिस्ट्रेशन नहीं कराना होगा। उद्घाटन के दिन और गुरुजी के 550वें जन्मदिन पर श्रद्धालुओं से कोई शुल्क नहीं लिया जाएगा। इमरान खान करतारपुर कॉरिडोर का 9 नवंबर को उद्घाटन करेंगे।
पाकिस्तान में गुरुवार को कराची - रावलपिंडी तेजगाम एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन में धमाका हो गया। यह हादसा पंजाब प्रांत के दक्षिण में रहीम यार खान के पास हुआ। रेलवे अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, खाना पकाने के लिए इस्तेमाल किए गए गैस कनस्तर में धमाका हुआ। धमाके के बाद तीन बोगियों में आग लग गई। इस हादसे में 46 लोगों की मौत हो गई, जबकि 30 से अधिक लोग घायल हो गए है।
बांग्लादेश ने भारत से प्याज निर्यात पर से प्रतिबंध हटाने का अनुरोध किया है। आपूर्ति बाधित होने के बाद से बांग्लादेश में प्याज की कीमत आसमान छू रही है।
अमेरिका के मैसाचुसेट्स में एक परिवार के पांच सदस्य अपने ही घर में मृत पाए गए। मृतकों में दो व्यस्क और तीन बच्चे है, जिनके शरीर पर गोली लगने के निशान है। ये बात तब पता चली जब उनका एक रिश्तेदार बच्चों को स्कूल ले जाने के लिए उनके घर पहुंचा था।
बताया जा रहा है की अभी - अभी 11: 10 बजे नेपाल में भूकंप के जोरदार झटके महसूस किये गए। इसकी तीव्रता 4.1 बताई जा रही है। फिलहाल अभी ज्यादा जानकारी प्राप्त नहीं हुई है।
