South Korean film "Parasite" won 4 Oscars

For the first time in history of Oscar, a non-English film Parasite won the best film award.The movie's win made history in both Hollywood and South Korean film industries. It is the first non-English-language film to win in 92 year history of the Academy Awards and the first South Korean movie to ever win an Oscar. The best picture award has never gone to a film which has, in Bong's words, one inch subtitles running at the bottom of the screen. This South Korean film won 4 Oscars. After receiving the honor, the director of the film, Bong Joon Ho said "I am ready to drink tonight, until next morning." The two families living in South Korea who have been exposed to different economic conditions are depicted through dark humor in Parasite. Director Bong Joon Ho's "Parasite" won the Oscar for best picture and three other awards.
Joaquin Phoenix won best actor for his performance in "Joker". It was his first Oscar. Renee Zellweger won best actress for playing a broken Judy Garland in "Judy". Brad Pitt won best supporting actor for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Laura Dern won best supporting actress for Marriage Story.
